GCS is a intervention program for struggling students.
Admission to GCS is determined by a referral committee. Any student can be referred for possible admission to GCS if he/she is having difficulties in academics and meets the admission criteria.
GCS offers three levels of support:
Level I: Teachers are available to help students with daily assignments and projects as well as studying for upcoming tests. Teachers also keep track of grades on a weekly basis to help students keep on top of their grades.
Level II: If students continue to fail, then they are provided with additional assistance through a full class period in the GCS classroom.
Level III: If students continue to fail, then they are required to come after school until their grades improve.
