Welcome to Academy Middle School. My name is Mary Earnest, and I am the English and reading inclusion teacher for 5th through 8th grade. This is my 21st year at Academy, and I have served as MS self-contained special education teacher (1993-1995), resource and my current role as inclusion teacher since 1995. As the English and reading inclusion teacher, I have four grades I oversee: 5th ELAR, 6th ELAR, 7th ELAR, and 8th ELAR.

My husband, Marlyn Kyle, is the owner/operator/inventor of E and W Squeeze Chutes. He invented his own squeeze chute model and custom builds and sells them. I have one daughter that attended Academy schools through 10th grade - Kyla. We live in the Troy school district where she currently attends.

Prior to Academy, I worked as a hospital operator at King's Daughters Hospital from 1987-1993. Prior to King's Daughters, I worked as a credit clerk and bookkeeper for Interfirst/First Republic Bank (1986-1987). I also worked as an assistant bookkeeper for Rip Griffin's Truck Terminal, Gift Shop, and Restaurant from (1983-1986). I graduated from Lampasas High School. I attended Temple Junior College and received a bachelor's of science degree in education from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
